Τσαρούχι Soundsystem is a cultural collective based in Crete. Forged in the ’90s, Τσαρούχι (both crew and supporters), against todays’ trends, aim at providing an artistic liberation to the un-pop-ular. On the music side, even though in the beginning Τσαρούχι had a rock orientation (alternative/indie mostly) with some big-beat touches, nowadays electro is our oyster. From smooth TripHop, Dub and Tech House to rough Jungle, Techno and Breakbeat, maintaining the utmost respect to our influences (Rock, HipHop, Blues, Shoegaze & BritPop ).
